Understanding the Trim Levels of the 2017 Toyota CorollaThe Toyota Corolla is a small sedan that offers a good mix of space and features. The 2017 model received some updates, including a few tweaks to the front end, including new LED headlights. Toyota also upgraded the upholstery and added a rearview camera on all the trims. The Corolla comes in seven different trim levels, and each has its own features and benefits. Here is some information to help in understanding the different levels.

The Base L

The base-level L trim comes with 15-inch steel wheels and power mirrors and door locks. This trim also gets LED headlights and running lights. Inside, you’ll find a rearview camera, a 6.1-inch touch screen with the Entune system and Bluetooth, voice controls, and a USB port with an auxiliary jack. You’ll also get Siri Eyes Free if you have an iPhone.

The LE

Upgrade to the LE for larger 16-inch steel wheels and variable intermittent wipers. You’ll also get interior accents that feature a metallic look, and it comes with automatic climate control. The LE also adds keyless entry.

The LE Eco

This trim starts out with all the features of the LE, but tunes the engine and suspension to make it more fuel efficient. It also gets 15-inch steel wheels with a low-rolling resistance tire to help make it more efficient, and a rear spoiler for aerodynamics.

The XLE

Next up is the XLE. This adds keyless entry along with keyless ignition, and you’ll also get 16-inch alloy wheels. It comes standard with a sunroof and heated front seats. For technology, the XLE adds the Entune Audio Plus system, which includes a larger touch screen and adds satellite and HD radio. You’ll also get the Scout GPS Link app-based navigation system.

The SE

Choose the SE if you want the sportier version of the Corolla. This comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and a different front end that features a black mesh grille. It also has a rear spoiler, chrome-tipped exhaust, and heated side mirrors that are the same color as the body of the vehicle. Inside, there is a leather-wrapped steering wheel, paddle shifters, and sporty front seats. When equipped with the manual transmission, it comes with a sunroof.

The XSE

The higher-end XSE takes all the features of the SE with the CVT and adds keyless entry and ignition, along with a sunroof. This also comes standard with heated seats in the front, and a driver’s seat that has an eight-way power adjustment feature.

The SE 50th Anniversary Edition

The 2017 Corolla has a special 50th Anniversary edition that adds grey-painted 17-inch wheels and special anniversary badging. This special edition also gets upgraded upholstery on the seats and a special trim on the interior that includes black cherry-colored contrast stitching.

There are a lot of different trims and features to consider when looking at a 2017 Corolla. While each one offers something slightly different, they all have the latest technology and a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that provides plenty of power.
