Events Happening in Charlotte, NC in JuneIf you are heading to Charlotte, you might want to plan your visit and find out what is happening in the area, including concerts, free festivals, and family programs. Sign yourself up for a day’s cooking class, explore the area on foot, or explore the vintage markets of Schnepf Farms.

Family Walk at Bryant St. FreeMoreWest

The walking initiative is created by Sustain Charlotte, and it is a great event with a community spirit. You will walk to Recover Brands using wayfinding signs, and you can log your miles to impress your friends. It is time to get active and meet new like-minded people. You will even get a free T-shirt for participating and a Beer ticket to Blue Blaze for an after-walk wind down. The suggested donation for taking part is $10 per person. You will also get a free map featuring the participating businesses in the town. Check-in after the walk is between 5-7 p.m.

The Belmont Annual Fine Art and Craft Festival

Held on Wilkinson Blvd Belmont, this juried show will feature handcrafted items from local artisans, including wooden sculptures, mosaics, jewelry, and pottery. Held on June 3, 2017, the day promises live music, demonstrations of techniques, lessons, and admission is free. Vintage Market Days 2017

Held on Schnepf Farms, Queen Creek, the festival will feature vintage clothing, baked goods according to original recipes, and paintings over three days from June 9-11. The indoor and outdoor markets will provide you with a great day out and a chance to buy seasonal plants and handmade crafts. The general admission fee is $5, and the market will be open to the public between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, closing at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Children under 12 are free to attend.

Rock the Park 2017

This event is held at Carowinds Paladium on June 10, and it features modern artists such as Skillet and Andy Mineo. Ticket prices start at $53 dollars and promise a great night out with family and friends. Stay in the park for the day to have a picnic, enjoy dining and drinking facilities, take a roller coaster ride, or have a session in the water park before the concert. This Christian rock and worship experience is great for the family, and it features some of the contemporary gospel artists’ works.

The Kinfolks Soul Food Festival

On June 3, the touring soul food festival will hit Charlotte with R&B music and home cuisine. Food rooted in the African-American culture and traditions and Southern delights will be available to taste on the day. Tickets cost $35 for general admissions, $45 for preferred viewing, and $70 for VIP guests. You can save money by taking advantage of the early bird discount. It’s a truly entertaining day out to satisfy all your senses in Charlotte.
