Amor de Brazil is a fine dining steakhouse that offers the unique, Brazilian approach to barbecue. In the early 1800s, local ranchers in Brazil, known as Gauchos, created a unique type of cooking called churrasco. They would create a wood burning fire, and let it burn until it turned into golden embers. Then they would take large cuts of meat and hold them over the embers until they cooked to perfection. Finally, they would use well-sharpened knives to slice off thin pieces to serve.

Today, you can enjoy this same cooking style, and watch as experienced Gauchos slice the succulent meat right at your table. Amor de Brazil recommends that you make your reservations before 4 p.m.

3. Royal Cafe & Creperie

While we often associate crepes with breakfast, they’re also excellent as desserts, to make your date night complete. If you want to start your date in the morning, Royal Cafe & Creperie is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The restaurant believes that you’re the best chef out there, so you can build your own breakfast crepe with protein, eggs, and vegetables, and you can build your own dessert crepe with fruits, sweets, and sugar.

4. Santé

Santé is a fine dining restaurant that takes classic French meals and infuses them with an American twist. The restaurant’s menu changes with the season and reflects what’s raised and purchased locally. The restaurant is in a historic building, constructed in the 1880s, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The exposed brick walls add unique charm, and the intimate dining room is ideal for a romantic date. Santé is open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner, and the restaurant recommends calling ahead for reservations.

5. Carolina Beer Temple

If you and your date are looking for a fun date night, check out Carolina Beer Temple. This craft beer store offers a selection of beers made in North Carolina and other parts of the country. It currently has over 450 different craft beers available, and while this isn’t a restaurant, outside food is always welcome.
