In addition to the wine and food, there is also live music and several local craft brews.

Charlotte Asian Festival

Although it’s not billed as a food festival, the Charlotte Asian Festival still has a number of Asian cuisines, whether you love Thai, Vietnamese, or Chinese food. Set in May each year, this event also offers a number of shows and demonstrations showcasing Asian culture. The crowning jewel is the Dragon Boat Race, where participants row their dragon-themed longboats to the finish line.

Festa Italiana Charlotte

Italian-themed food festivals are rare no matter where you are. That’s what makes May’s Festa Italiana all the more exciting. The event features 10 area chefs, each making their own signature Italian appetizer. However, the most exciting part is that the festival is an all-you-can-eat affair. Get there early to make sure you get your money’s worth.

Taste of Charlotte

For those that just can’t decide on a single type of food, the Taste of Charlotte, which occurs each June, offers a sophisticated array of delicacies from over 100 local vendors. Once you’ve stuffed yourself, you can listen to live music, take your kids to the interactive children’s area, or sign up for the 5K race to work off your indulgence. You can also head to the Marketplace, which is an open air venue that sells jewelry, gifts, and other trinkets.
