Car wash

Everyone at Matthews Toyota knows that there is nothing more frustrating than walking up to a filthy car. They also know that opening up that filthy car and finding that the interior is just as dirty is downright depressing. Life is hectic. Commuting to work, taxing the kids around, running errands – who has time to clean their car? Well, just because you don’t have tons of time to clean your car doesn’t mean that your vehicle has to be filthy. Here are some car hacks that will help you make your car spick and span and won’t take you a ton of time.

Dead Bug Removal = WD-40

Bugs stuck on the windshield, grill, headlights and bumper are a problem every driver has – and they can be really hard to get off. Well, with a little WD-40, you won’t have trouble getting them off anymore. Just spray the lubricant onto the affected area, let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe it away with a damp cloth. You can also remove tree sap and tar from your car the same way.

Baby Wipes = Clean Interior

Coffee spills in the cup holders, dirt on the dash and dirt on the back of your seats from the kid’s shoes can all be wiped away with baby wipes. Keep a box in your car and you can clean these messes up in no time.

Plastic Cereal Container = Portable Garbage Can

Take a plastic cereal container – you know; the kind with the lid that half of the lid opens up – put a plastic bag inside and voila! – You have a portable garbage can for your car. Keep it on the floor in the back so that the kids can easily toss their trash in it instead of on the floor.
