If you are in the market for a used or new Toyota, one of the most critical aspects of finding the right car for you is the test drive. You should never blindly buy a car without first taking it for a spin and knowing that the car will fit your needs. Here are some great tips on what to look for when you test drive a potential vehicle

How Is the Drivability?

Drivability is one of the top things to pay attention to while on a test drive. This means checking out how the car brakes, how it takes turns and how it accelerates. If you do not feel comfortable with how the car handles, then you should keep looking.

Do You Fit Comfortably?

Does the car feel right for you? For example, if you are 7 feet tall, a compact car might not be such a great fit. Take some time feeling out the driver’s seat, making sure you are comfortable with the positioning and be sure all of the car’s controls are within reach and easy for you to use.

Are You Happy With the Car’s Features?

Test out the features and make sure the car has what you are looking for. For example, does the vehicle have anti lock brakes and are you comfortable with how they work? Does the vehicle have front, back or all wheel drive? While accessories like the radio and a sun roof might impact what vehicle you choose, don’t base your decision solely on these features.

Don’t Rush

Finally, take your time. It is never a good idea to rush the buying decision. Don’t just test drive one car. It is always best to take out a few vehicles to ensure you have selected the perfect car for you.
