Do you feel your insurance prices are going up?  Matthews area Toyota has created a list of 5 important questions EVERYONE should be asking their insurance agent next time they call the office.  Don’t miss out on discounts that you deserve.

Do you have my mileage correct?

Don’t let the insurance company assume the amount of miles you drive each year.  Refer make to your maintenance invoices to determine how many miles you travel.  If you drive under 7,500 miles, you may qualify for a discount.

How is my car rated?

Make sure your car is rated for its exact usage.  For example, if you are retired, make sure your car insurance company isn’t still rating you as a commuter.

Is my teen driver getting all available discounts?

There are many discounts available for teen drivers, and they are essential to help you save money.  If your teen driver is away at college, let your insurance agent know so you aren’t charged for them.

What discount do I get for my job?

Many insurance companies will provide discounts to clients who are employed by specific companies or members of approved organizations.  Some companies allow you to search for your employer on their website to see if you qualify for the discount.

Am I getting charged for receiving a bill?

It seems like every company is charging for paper bills these days, and your insurance company is no exception.  Ask you insurance provider if you are getting charged for receiving a bill.  Make sure you address all of your policies and monthly accounts you have with them.  If they send you the notice on paper, it is usually accompanied by a paper billing fee.  Talk to them about ways you can reduce your monthly and annual billing fees.
