What to Love About the All New Toyota Sequoia TRD Sport - Charlotte, NCThe Toyota Sequoia has been a constant in the Toyota range since 2000, and it has fast become one of the most popular SUVs in the world. Back in February 2017, Toyota announced that it would be refreshing the model range, with one of the introduced vehicles being the Toyota Sequoia TRD Sport. Let’s take a look at the new features of this incredible car.

New Features of the 2018 Sequoia Lineup

The changes across the whole of the Sequoia range for 2018 will be:

  • New LED headlights, which means longer-lasting and more powerful headlights. You are essentially never going to need to change out the headlights on these vehicles. The TRD Sport will also have Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and LED Fog Lights.
  • Grille designs have been been given an overhaul.
  • The introduction of new safety features such as radar cruise control, pedestrian detection, and lane departure alert.

Many of these features are down to the addition of the Toyota Safety Sense-P package coming as standard on all the new Sequoia vehicles. These new features help you to stay safe on the road, while also ensuring that the people around you remain safe, too.

A Smooth Drive and Killer Looks

What do we receive with the new Toyota Sequoia TRD Sport? What makes it stand out from the crowd? Let’s start with the Bilstein shock absorbers. The upgraded suspension makes the TRD Sport one of the smoothest-driving SUVs on the market.  The 20-inch aluminum wheels also contribute to such easy handling, while at the same time ensuring that the vehicle looks as sleek as possible. The front and rear anti-sway bars that you will find on the TRD sport ensure that the vehicle is able to remain straight while on the road. Great for those track days too!

Coming in both a 4X2 and 4X4 configuration, the Sequoia TRD Sport so you can easily drive around the whole family. On the outside, the vehicle has been given an extensive overhaul from the previous models. The vehicle looks far sportier, but classier at the same time. The color-keyed mirrors, bumpers, and hood scoop, the metallic black mirror caps and the mesh grillle design add up to a vehicle that you would be proud to own.

A Powerful Engine

The engine in the new Sequoia TRD Sport is not getting much in the way of changes. Since 2009, the Sequoia has boasted the 5.7 L V8 and, to be perfectly honest, this is fine with us. Why change something that is not broken? The powerful engine ensures that the Sequoia TRD Sport provides an incredibly smooth drive experience. The amount of power here is unreal, although a vehicle this large needs that power. All 381hp of it.

The Sequoia TRD Sport, like the rest of the Toyota SUV range, is sure to be a big hit as soon as it comes out. Make sure you get your hands on one as soon as you can!
